Who Am I?

Software Quality Assurance Engineer

I am a professional software quality assurance engineer in the Spokane, Washington / Coeur d'Alene, Idaho area. Software quality assurance is a passion of mine. With no offense intended to other roles in software development, but I do consider SQA to be the most important component to the software development cycle. We are the gate keepers to help ensure the best possible software is shipped and to help hold the team to high quality standards.

Graduate Student

I am a graduate student in computer science working toward my masters degree. My research is in computer security focusing on social engineering and phishing in a financial institution. I believe that the human factor is the weakest link in a security chain and is also hardest to protect. Security is such an important part of our current life and key to our society's future success.

Women in Technology Advocate

Outside of work and school, I am a advocate for women in technology and am a co-founder of the Spokane Geek Girls group. The technology industry needs more women and the women we have in it now need support and encouragement to stay and thrive in this field. I try to attend as many functions to support women in tech as possible. My encouraging others, I help to encourage myself to stay motivated in this still male dominated field.
